Online Scams: FBI Declared 6 Nigerians Wanted

  Six Nigerian nationals have been federally indicted in Nebraska, wanted in connection with elaborate schemes targeting business executives out of millions of dollars. The FBI announced the indictments Tuesday in Omaha. The six individuals, believed to be in Nigeria, are accused of conducting business email compromise, romance fraud, and other types of fraud, according to Special Agent Jake Foiles of the Omaha division's Cyber Squad. Three other co-conspirators have already been arrested: two were apprehended after traveling to the U.S., and another arrested and extradited from Poland, Foiles said.. Business email compromise, or BEC, involves "tricking companies into sending fraudulent payments, either through wire transfers or ACH transfers," Foiles said These perpetrators focused on victimizing a larger number of people rather than going after larger payments, he said, collecting as many "smaller" wire transfers — from $50,000 to $100,000 — as they could befo

Majekodunmi Fasheke Nigeria music legend, Majek Fashek is reportedly dead. His death was announced by Joy Tongo former artiste manager to Cynthia Morgan on her Instagram handle @joytongo. She posted,”Legendary musician, Mr Majek Fashek, my uncle passed on today in New York City. Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known as Majek Fashek (pronounced as Ma-je-ko-dun-mi Ifa-kii-she-eke), is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is best known in his home country for the 1988 album Prisoner of Conscience. Born on February 6, 1949 (age 71 years), Benin City, Nigeria.

Nigeria: Police Arrests Blackmailer of Salawa Abeni

Olufowoke Oladunjoye Emmanuel The operatives of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested a 19-year-old National Diploma graduate of Yaba College of Technology, Lagos as the brain behind the attempted blackmail of Queen Salawa Abeni with her nude photographs. The suspect, Olufowoke Oladunjoye Emmanuel, a resident of Brentfield Avenue, Peace Estate, Magboro, Ogun State, was arrested by the ambushed squad of the Rapid Response Squad [R R S] last week Thursday, after three days of surveillance . The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hakeem Odumosu, speaking on the arrest, stated that after the Salawa Queen made the issue of the blackmail public in April 2020, he directed the Commander, Rapid Response Squad, DCP Olatunji Disu to fish out the suspect. He said after a preliminary investigations, the Decoy Team narrowed down on the suspect a few days later but could not effect the arrest immediately due to COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdown directive by the Federal Governmen

Officers of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), Oyo state command, have arrested some suspected individuals over the recent kidnapping of the twin babies of popular Ibadan-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Taofeek Akewugbagold. The were paraded on Monday morning in Ibadan by Oyo state Police Commissioner, CP, Shina Olukolu at the police headquarters, Eleyele Ibadan. Briefing journalists, Olukoku said ”I wish to inform you that in the sensational case of the kidnapping of the 2-year old twins of Alhaji Taofeek Azeez “Akewugbagold” on the 25″ April, 2020. All the suspects have been arrested with substantial parts of the ransom collected, the gun used for the operation, the two operational vehicles, and one motorcycle were also recovered from them.” ”The notorious criminals attacked his wife and subsequently abducted his 2-year old twin to an unknown destination. Police: Georgia Man Caught Having Sex With Corpse, Charged With Necrophilia

Kenny Whitehead A man in Georgia was arrested after he was allegedly caught having sex with  a dead woman outside a local homeless shelter. Deputies say they were called to the 100 block of Walnut Street just after 4 Sunday morning after a caller complained that two people were having intercourse on the front steps of the property. Bibb County deputies approached the man and asked him to dress up, they then discovered that the woman was unresponsive. An investigation showed that she "had been deceased for some time," officials say.  Deputies charged the man, identified as Kenny Obyran Whitehead, with necrophilia.  In a related incident,  a homeless man was sentenced to 12 years in prison last year after he pleaded guilty to having sex with a woman's corpse after breaking into a funeral home in Georgia.  The cause of death is still under investigation, but officials do not believe it to be foul play

Polygamy Is No Longer A Felony In The State Of Utah, U.S.A

Image Courtesy- Pixabay A law to  decriminalize bigamy   among consenting  adults   is now in effect in Utah ,   For many years bigamy was a third-degree felony, legally punishable by up to five years in prison and up to a $5,000 fine.  The bill was signed into law by Gov. Gary Herbert in March and took effect on Tuesday. Polygamy became a significant social and political issue in the United States in 1852, when  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints  (LDS Church) made it known that a form of the practice, called  plural marriage , was part of its doctrine. Though the practice has long been illegal under state and federal law, the Utah attorney general's office has declined to prosecute the offense, except when it's committed along with other crimes.
