Nigerians in Wuhan, China Appeal For Evacuation Over Coronavirus

Hong)   Americans onboard a cruise ship quarantined over the deadly new  coronavirus  will have the option of being transferred from the vessel on Sunday, according to U.S. government. The U.S. Department of State and agencies including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will provide a chartered flight to transport all American citizens on the  Diamond Princess  cruise ship from Japan to the United States, the American Commission in Tokyo confirmed in a  statement. The vessel has been docked at the port city of Yokohama, south of Tokyo, and those onboard quarantined for over a week after a passenger was diagnosed with the infection on February 1. The quarantine period is due to last till February 19, according to its operator Princess Cruises.  It could to take between two and 14 days for symptoms of  COVID -19 to

                             Motunrayo Rafiu Motunrayo Rafiu, the law graduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, who was kidnapped by suspected bandits on Kabba-Lokoja Highway, has detailed  her difficult exprience. She was released on Sunday after the family reportedly paid a ransom of N1m. The victim was said to have spent six days in the kidnappers’ den. “She was released on Sunday evening after we paid N1m to them,” a family member said. The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, Williams Aya, however, said the victim was rescued along with three others. He said, “All the victims were released yesterday (Sunday) by the abductors. Since the incident happened, our men had been trailing the kidnappers. The police in Ogun State have arrested the President of Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro and one other suspect. The accused, Adegboye Emmanuel Olatunji and Olarewaju Taiwo were apprehended on Sunday.
