In a statement released on Thursday via X, NAFDAC revealed that more than 50,000 fake branded labels and packaging materials used to produce unauthorized and potentially hazardous alcoholic beverages were confiscated during the operation.
The agency described the raid as a critical step in safeguarding public health and safety, warning of the severe health risks associated with counterfeit alcohol, including poisoning and organ damage.
