Canada-Based Nigerian Woman, Amaka Sunnberger, Under Investigation for Death Threats Against Fellow Nigerians

Canadian authorities have launched an investigation into Amaka Sunnberger, a Nigerian woman based in Canada, after she allegedly threatened to harm other Nigerians living in the country.

The threats, which were reportedly made online, have sparked concern within the Nigerian community in Canada. Local law enforcement is taking the matter seriously, and the probe is ongoing to determine the extent of the threat and any potential legal actions that may follow. Sunnberger could face serious consequences if found guilty of making violent threats.

  The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has criticized  illegal miners for the explosion that rocked the Bodija area of Ibadan, the state capital on Tuesday. Makinde, who visited the scene of the explosion Tuesday night, said preliminary investigations by security agencies revealed that the explosion caused by explosive devices stored by illegal miners. He also said though investigations were still ongoing, anyone found culpable would be brought to book. “Preliminary investigations by the security agencies revealed that illegal miners occupying one of the houses in Bodija had stored explosive devices there which caused the blast.
