Endrick, 17, scores last-gasp winner as Brazil beat Mexico

On Saturday Endrick scored a stoppage-time winner as Brazil beat Mexico 3-2 in a Copa America warm-up match in Texas. The 17-year-old landed his third goal in as many appearances for Brazil as he headed in a cross by substitute Vinicius Jr six minutes into added time.
Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira had given Brazil an early lead from a Savio pass before Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli tapped in to double their lead just after half-time. Julian Quinones pulled one back for Mexico in the 73rd minute before Guillermo Martinez Ayala equalised in the second minute of stoppage time.
Endrick is set to join Real Madrid from Palmeiras this summer having agreed to the move in December. He told RTVE this week: "I hope it is a wonderful story with Real Madrid and to be in Madrid all my life."

  Arsenal beat  Newcastle  4-1 in the Premier League on Saturday. It was the Gunners' sixth successive victory in the league. They have scored 25 goals and conceded just three in that run. Arsenal are the sixth side to win their first six Premier League matches of a calendar year - the last three have won the title. Illegal miners responsible for Ibadan explosion, says Makinde

  The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has criticized  illegal miners for the explosion that rocked the Bodija area of Ibadan, the state capital on Tuesday. Makinde, who visited the scene of the explosion Tuesday night, said preliminary investigations by security agencies revealed that the explosion caused by explosive devices stored by illegal miners. He also said though investigations were still ongoing, anyone found culpable would be brought to book. “Preliminary investigations by the security agencies revealed that illegal miners occupying one of the houses in Bodija had stored explosive devices there which caused the blast. The investigations are ongoing. All those found culpable for this will be brought to book,” he said.
