107,646 passports waiting for collection across the nation, Immigration Service tells applicants

Kemi Nanna Nandap, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), has urged applicants whose passports have been processed to retrieve them from the designated Passports Issuing Centers nationwide. In a statement released on Friday by Kenneth Udo, the Service Spokesman, it was revealed that 107,646 passports have been produced but remain uncollected.
Expressing concern, the CG mentioned that attempts to contact the owners have been unsuccessful. She advised applicants to ensure they provide accurate addresses and phone numbers when completing their online passport application forms for easier communication.
To facilitate the process, the CG directed that all Passport Offices in Lagos should be open on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm exclusively for the collection of processed passports. The statement concluded by encouraging those affected to seize this opportunity to retrieve their passports.
