Ghana Beat Nigeria's Falconets To Win African Games Women's Football Gold
The Black Queens have dislodged Nigeria's falconets as the champion of women's football event at the African Games. Ghana women's national football team came from a goal down to win 2-1 to be crowned Gold medalists in the women’s football event of the pan-African Games.
Loveth Edeh profited from a goalkeeper’s blunder in the 23rd minute to take the lead. But, Ghana Black Princesses drew level in the 78th minute through Tracy Twum to make up for her numerous misses.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria senior men's national team and their Ghanaian counterparts lock horns in another battle for supremacy later today (Friday) in Marrakesh, Morocco, when the Black Stars take on the Super Eagles in a friendly. Kick-off time is 5pm in Nigeria.
