CAN Confirms killing Of Kidnapped Chairman By Boko Haram In Adamawa State.

 The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) chairman in Michika local government area of Adamawa State, Rev Lawan Andimi, has been killed by his abductors. Andimi was abducted by Boko Haram on January 2 when the mutineers attacked the community. In the process, kidnapped the Reverend.

Confirming the killing of the abducted CAN Chairman, the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, Bishop Dami Mamza said the murder of the clergy is gruesome and unfortunate. Bishop Mamza who made the disclosure in an interview with some news writers in Yola the Adamawa state capital said the insurgents had demanded for two million euros but still went ahead to execute the Pastor.

According to the Bishop, the killing was unfolded to them by their contact. He added that another pastor was abducted and killed almost the same time with the abducted Pastor from Michika. Bishop Dami Mamza also stated that Boko Haram is yet to be defeated and the government should tell Nigerians the truth.

Protest Erupts in Abuja Over Demolition of Homes by FCT Minister Wike

  Residents of Ruga, a settlement along Airport Road in Abuja, staged a protest on Friday against the demolition of their homes by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike. The demolition was part of the minister’s initiative, *Operation Sweep*, aimed at clearing areas within the capital deemed as nuisances and hotspots for criminal activities. The protest was led by prominent lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju, alongside Vincent Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMark.
