North Carolina School Resource Officer Fired After Slamming Student

A North Carolina  school resource officer has been placed on paid administrative leave after violently slamming a child to the ground twice at a middle school, authorities told the Associated Press on Sunday. Authorities haven’t named the student but the sheriff said the child is under the age of 12.
The North Carolina Bureau of Investigation has been called to investigate the assault, which happened at Vance County Middle School.
