Lagos State Task Force Intercepts A Suspicious Truck Carrying 123 Men with 48 Motorbikes.

The truck was impounded  following a tip-off by members of the public who raised security concern . After the interception, the truck and its occupants were moved to the office of the taskforce in Oshodi for questioning. The Chairman of Lagos State Taskforce, Yinka Egbeyemi, said the trailer was detained in the wee hours on Friday, after a security alert from the public. New Policy does not impact American birthright citizenship - USCIS

Image Courtesy- Pixabay/geralt20255image  Some media publishers incorrectly reported that the children of all U.S. service members or federal employees who are born overseas would no longer become citizens automatically, but  Ken Cuccinelli, the acting director of USCIS said : "This policy update does not affect who is born a U.S. citizen, period,"   "This only affects children who were born outside the United States and were not U.S. citizens. This does NOT impact birthright citizenship. This policy update does not deny citizenship to the children of US government employees or members of the military born abroad."

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday in Yokohama, Japan said that some Nigerians abroad indulging in lawless activities do not represent the values of majority of the people of his Country. In a statement by the Special Adviser on Media and publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, said “Let me also say that there are few Nigerians in the Diaspora that are giving us a bad name by engaging in criminal activities. These Nigerians are a minority, they do not represent the values of our country, and I plead with them to change their ways. “We will not condone any crime whether at home or abroad, and we will also not allow these Nigerians define us as a people with reputation for criminality,” he said Advised Nigerians in Japan to be good ambassadors of their fatherland, the President said, “I am personally very happy that there are millions of Nigerians all over the world, like you here, who are truly making us proud.”

Tyler Perry  shared a newly updated highway sign, just about one mile from  Tyler Perry  Studios. The sign originally read Fort McPherson, which is the historic army base that he bought in 2016. He purchased 330 acres of the historic land on the formerly  Fort McPherson Military Base. He shared this on his personal facebook page. Colombia Police seize 300kg of Marijuana in coffin

Police in  Colombia  found more than 250 kg of  marijuana  in a coffin. The law enforcement   officers  were surprised when they intercepted the drug during a routine inspection of a car in the northern Columbia. Regional police commander Fabian Ospina said  "The seizure was carried out after an inspection of a hearse, which contained two coffins,"  The driver is being detained.

Just in: FG Decrease Visa Fees For US Citizens

ABUJA, NIGERIA.-The Federal Government has approved the reduction of visa fees payable by US citizens in line with the reciprocity policy. This occurs following the United States increased the cost of visa application for Nigerians. Nigerians are required to pay a fee called visa ‘issuance fee’, or ‘reciprocity fee’, for all applications for non-immigrant visas in B, F, H1B, I, L, and R visa classifications. The issuance/reciprocity fee is separate from the application fees as this will be charged in addition to the non-immigrant visa application fee. According to the Director of Press and  Public Relations, Mohammed Manga, said that  “The Committee had concluded its assignment and submitted a Report but the issuance of authorisation for its recommendations was delayed due to transition processes in the Ministry at the policy level. “The Honourable Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has approved the decrease of Visa charges payable by US citizens...

Nigerian Embassy Condemns the Criminal act of Nigerians Indicted by FBI.

Washington DC, USA.   - The Nigerian embassy in Washington DC on Monday criticized the criminal act by 77 Nigerians indicted by the Federal of Bureau of Investigation for alleged fraud in the U. S. In a statement on Monday, the embassy said the Federal Government “condemns such criminal acts in all ramifications.” Mr Mohammed Suleiman, the Senior Counsellor/Head of Chancery, signed the statement on behalf of the Ambassador, ex- Justice Sylvanus Nsofor. It said: “The Embassy wishes to reaffirm that Nigerians are generally law-abiding and hardworking people wherever they are, including in the U.S. “We wish to reiterate her willingness to cooperate with the government of the U.S. in accordance with the laid-down universal human rights and due legal processes in the interest of our national. “The Embassy, therefore, appeals to her citizens in the U.S. to remain calm and continue to observe the laws of the host country at all times.”

                          Corps Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi Kwara - Nigeria. - The FRSC RS8 .17 Ilorin unit commander, Zakari Mohammed, declared that drive's license belongs to the Federal Government, warning that it has a legal power to retain driver's license of any faulty motorist. He said this yesterday at a stakeholder's meeting in Ilorin.  Mr Kayode Ajibike, FRSC's legal officer also pointed out that officers have the legal power to toll vehicles of any erring driver, saying such vehicle would be handed over to the police.

lightning struck golf course, wounded Six People in East Lake, Georgia.

EAST LAKE ,GA. USA.-- Six spectators were injured when lightning struck a tree at East Lake Golf Club on Saturday afternoon during a weather delay at the Tour Championship. Lightning struck the top of a tree  and destroyed bark all the way to the bottom. The PGA Tour said in a statement that debris from the strike wounded six people, who were transported via ambulances to local hospitals. The Atlanta police and fire departments on Sunday confirmed that five people were injured and taken to nearby hospitals. A sixth person was treated and released at the location. Dino Melaye : "No cause for alarm at all"

The Nigerian Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye has reacted to the Kogi State National Assembly and State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal’s dissolution of his landslide at the senatorial poll. Responding on Twitter, Melaye said he would get judgement at the Appeal court. He wrote, ”On Tribunal judgement. No cause for alarm at all. Even if it went my way they will still go to the Appeal Court. Our mandate can not be taken. We will get judgment at the Appeal Court. ”There will be fresh election in Kogi West because I will be Governor. For my Senate mandate no shaking.”

Safeway Employees Found 22 kilos of cocaine in Bananas box

 Woodinville, Washington. U.S.A.       According to a Facebook post from the King County Sheriff’s Office, t he employees discovered two boxes that contained what they believed to be multiple packages of what they suspected were narcotics and immediately contacted the police. Cocaine was also found at two other Safeway stores in the area, one in Bellingham and one in Federal Way.  The narcotics were covered up smartly in produce containers.

Indicted "419" Nigerians may be extradited to the U.S.

The United States of America Justice Department has indicted dozens of individuals accused of involvement in a massive business email scam and money laundering plan. Thom Mrozek, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorneys Office for the Central District of California, said more than a dozen individuals had been arrested during raids on Thursday  in the Los Angeles area. A total of 80 defendants are allegedly involved in the scheme. U.S. Attorney Nicola Hanna announced the case was part of an ongoing struggle to protect citizens and businesses from email scams. “Today, we have taken a major step to disrupt criminal networks that use [business email scam] schemes, romance scams and other frauds to fleece victims,” he said. “This indictment sends a message that we will identify perpetrators — no matter where they reside — and we will cut off the flow of ill-gotten gains Most of the individuals alleged to be involved in the scheme are based in Nigeria, said the spokesperson. ...

Cobb County: Murder Suicide claims 3 Lives.

Cobb County, GA, U.S.A-  Police authority said deaths of three people found in a town home Wednesday night  are a murder-suicide. A 58-year-old mother killed her 20-year-old daughter and 24-year-old son. Their bodies were discovered inside the residence in the 3000 block of Nobilty Way in Vinings on August 21 around 6 p.m. Police said 20-year-old Erin Edwards and 24-year-old Chris Edwards died of gunshot wounds, and 58-year-old Marsha Edwards died of "an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound." The investigation into their deaths is still ongoing.

Officer Daniel Pantaleo, the NYPD cop who probably caused Eric Garner’s death, have raised nearly $100,000 in cash  by his supporters “Support NYC Police Officer Daniel Pantaleo and his family,” wrote the GoFundMe’s organiser. The Justice Department declared in July that it would not be pursuing federal charges against  Daniel Pantaleo. The decision was evidently made by Attorney General William Barr himself after the DOJ's Civil Rights Division favored an indictment while a competing faction in the New York office felt otherwise. This notification came five years after Garner's death.  Meanwhile,   Sgt. Kizzy Adonis, who was  officially incriminated in the death of  Eric Garner, will lose 20 days’ vacation for the role she played in the case

Aircraft dropped weapons for bandits in Katsina State.

A suspected bandit, Aliu Musa, after his arrest by the Kastina State Police Command revealed that his gang gets their weapons delivered to them by a helicopter. The 20-year old on Wednesday recounted that he once watched helicopter drop weapons for his boss inside Dinya Forest in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State in Nigeria. “I once saw that aircraft with fans on its head (helicopter) drop weapons for my boss while we were inside forest at Dinja,”   Musa told reporters.  The police spokesman said there is an ongoing investigation into the case.
